Fear is a funny thing. We think of it in a fight or flight situation sometimes, but fear can take on so many different aspects in our lives that we don’t even know it’s there. I talk a lot about fear and it’s always easier to see something in someone else. But I too have fear.
I tried to go to Hawaii, I tried to look stoic and that I had everything under control, but I didn’t succeed. I had fear of failure and I think fear of success. But I did learn about the island and a little more about myself so in the end it actually was a positive experience, besides who wouldn’t enjoy Hawaii. So now what?
Well, it’s time to push on, take what I’ve (you’ve) learned, apply it and take another step in the adventure. I came back to the mainland and did what I like to say – regroup. I got a job, a place to stay and a plan – a plan to go back, a plan to still follow my dreams. One thing I have learned in this life of adventure, it’s never too late until you die and if you don’t try then to some degree your dead already. So let’s get to living the adventure, face fear and take that step. What else ya gonna do?
