I’m not talking about the big-eyed aliens we think of as the Grey’s. I’m talking about the days, especially in winter. Yeah, yeah, it’s so beautiful in winter, so clean and crisp. Ugh!!! I hate winter. I don’t use that word lightly. I hardly ever say it, but I do in reference to winter. It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s slushy, it’s slick and it’s grey. When does someone feel good in winter? When the sun comes out. I don’t hear anyone complain that spring is here. The beautiful sunshine, flowers, green grass. Now that’s life. Winter is dead. So, what’s my point because I do have one and it’s not just to complain. My point is this.
We all have a choice no matter the situation, no matter the weather, no matter anything. We have a choice. So yes, it’s cold and grey out blah blah blah but what are you going to do about it? There are many, many choices one can make. For example, don’t live where it’s grey. Move. I’m serious. We all think we HAVE to live where we do. Really? You can find a job anywhere. I think we’re just to comfortable, complacent, and often times just a walking dead going through the motions. You could take a vacation; you could go to a sun tanning shop. Or you can choose to see beyond the grey and live life anyways. Go to the park, go to the zoo, go to the art gallery, go do whatever it is that makes you happy, just go.
If we continue to let outside forces dictate our happiness and truth of spirit, we are dead. I see soooo many dead people. Some are easy to spot, some put on a good skin but once you see and understand then you never not see them, and that’s even within yourself as well. Awaken your soul, breathe in awareness and change your journey from a slow death to a bright sunshiny journey full of all the colors of life. Why not? There can still be rainbows in winter. See ya on the trail somewhere.
