So Many Reasons

I’m “trying” to blog a couple times a week, but I find myself making all sorts of reasons not to. A few of the biggest are, I’m too tired, I don’t know what to say, I’ll get to it later and lastly is I just put it out of my mind. Now all of these deficient reasons really don’t get me anywhere at all except frustrated. That frustration gets loaded into the backpack which in turn gets heavier and heavier and then I find myself not wanting to do anything at all and therefore becoming ineffectual for the whole day. Another day gone that I can’t replace. I struggle in this area tremendously. Do you?

How can this be changed? How can this be helped? There is no quick fix even if the answer is easy to say. Get up and get it done right? But I can’t get up with all the damn rocks of junk loading me down. So, while you sit there take the backpack off, look inside and observe just what your carrying, reach inside grab hold of one and take it out. Now with it in your hand, look at it and then throw it as far away from you as possible. One less rock, one less reason, to carry for the moment.

You see it’s a mind game and we have to convince ourselves over time what is vitally important for our well-being. It starts today, in the moment, but it will have a lasting impact on your future. I struggle with “reasons” all the time and it’s not easy, but it is doable. I just want you to understand that it isn’t about any other reason other than what you choose to create for your own life. A reason to make excuses or a reason to live the best you can in that very moment. Take a deep breath, reach in, grab and throw and you will find that your burdens becoming lighter and lighter which makes for a much better trek along the journey. See ya on the trail.
