It’s So Easy

This simple statement can be used in such a plethora of ways. I believe it has also been misused. But for my purposes here I’m going to use it in a meaning of it’s so easy to just allow time to slip on by and old age to creep in. I know I’ve been talking a lot about aging and it’s solely due to the fact that I am aging and we all age and there is no cure. That’s a pretty black and white statement, isn’t it? For myself personally I’m having great issues with aging. My body has changed, I’m not able to do the things I once took for granted being a young whipper snapper. It’s so easy to continue to do the things in my life I have done for such a long time, like eating chips. But in thus doing so my body isn’t able to burn off the calories and I gain considerable weight. That’s just one aspect.

It’s so easy to let a day go by and say we will get to it tomorrow. But then a week goes by, and then a month, and then a year. I am here to tell you that a year goes by extremely fast as an adult. It seems that we couldn’t wait to be 16, then 18, then 21 and that it took so long to get there. But now as I’ve come to realize how precious time is, it goes by in a blink of an eye. I’m having struggles with this process. There is so much I want to do, so much I want to accomplish, so much I want to explore. But it’s so easy to let time just keep slipping away. It’s so easy to overindulge thinking I have time later to correct my mishaps. Well, I’m here to share with you we really don’t.

It’s so easy to eat from a box rather than to grow your own potato. That’s just the truth of it. It’s so easy to sit because your body hurts and that doesn’t cause pain but in reality, it makes the pain worse in the long run. It’s so easy to continue to do what we have always done and it’s hard to fight against the gravity that holds us in bondage. So, what is the answer? It’s so hard but yet it really is so easy. Get up and move. Put one foot in front of the other and engage your mind so you understand the true process. We don’t stay in our 20’s and 30’s. It’s time to grow up, it’s time to live. I’m not talking about the daily grind, that’s so easy. I’m talking about opening your eyes and your soul to the bigger journey of becoming the amazing being you are meant to be. It’s so easy can hold you in its death grip or it’s so easy can release you to fly free in a universe full of great possibility and grand adventure. Which easy path do you want to choose?
