Stupid Does

We have all heard the saying right? Stupid does as stupid is or is it stupid is what stupid does? It really doesn’t matter because stupid is just plain stupid. Now there can be a lot of variables in this, like common sense, like lack of sleep and just brain dead, or maybe like your momma and dadda didn’t teach you nothing. Was that improper English? Look I’m not saying that just because you talk funny, didn’t get all the sleep you desperately needed or for whatever reason you may lack in common sense that your stupid. But I am saying that stupid is simply said, stupid. And there are hordes of stupid people in the world.

We live in a technological world and things change faster and faster almost daily but all in all what stays the same is stupid. I know there are varying levels of stupid like not paying attention while driving vs. not being able to do simple math but for my context I’m saying stupid is what stupid does or stupid does what stupid is. Didn’t we just cover this? As a blanket statement stupid is just stupid. I said that already too, that’s stupid.

I shake my head daily at stupid. Sometimes it’s annoying stuff like freeway traffic going 15 miles an hour because there are just too damn many people and the freeway is jammed and people don’t know how to drive and merge and are too busy talking on their cell phones or putting on makeup or eating their breakfast burrito or, you get my point. Then there’s stupid like this new generation that goes out and buys $100 jeans that seriously have holes in them because it’s a fashion statement. WTF? Stuuuuupid

I think I could go on and on about the stupid things in this world, but I have faith that you’re not stupid and you see the signs all around you. You too shake your head and mouth the words, stuuuupid. We need to take up a cause, petition, have fund raisers, something, anything to help the stupid people around us. It’s a pandemic that needs our attention or else we will all become brainless, clueless nonsocial yet highly technological dummies. Is there a cliff notes book for unplugging from technology and emerging into simple life? A handshake, opening a door, a thank you, of not spending money on half a pair of jeans because you bought them with holes in them?

Stupid does what stupid is and stupid is what stupid does but it doesn’t have to be that way that’s the really stupid part. But I’m afraid it will never change. For all of time stupid has been a part of our human legacy. Hindsight has shown us this to a great degree but yet we trudge on being just as stupid as ever. Hear! Hear! Cheers to all of us for being so stupid we forgot how to be simply smart. Stupid is just stupid.
