What And Why

I don’t know a whole lot about much, but I do know a little about a lot. Sometimes I like being just an observer. Step back from the fray and look at things and see just what is going on and why it’s going on. It’s hard to step back and have an objective understanding. As humans we tend to be very emotional about things and a lot of times we allow those emotions to dictate what is truth. We allow the why to be all encompassing and believable. Sometimes we follow so blindly like lemmings running off the cliff just because that’s the direction they all go, and the one leading must be right. And then there’s times when one does have a heartfelt opinion about something but usually has no real depth or awareness associated with it. Oh, they may think that’s it’s so wise and smart, they may think what they know is absolutely right. We as humans have been doing that for a very long, long time. And so, I also put it out there. What are you doing? And why are you doing it? What is the purpose and why does it matter? But what does it really mean and why can’t anybody see outside of themselves is my what and why.

It’s been said there are things you should not talk about with others. Religion and politics being two big ones. But tell me how many wars have happened and humans being decimated due to religion and politics being an issue. We don’t like what we hear so we take action against it. Why? Because we are an infant species that doesn’t know how to behave. We think what is important and that’s just the way it is. And all of that, is just a small part of what and why. There are so many variances of time and place, so many different variables that attribute to thinking but not really thinking. Do we ever stop to think what really is the issue and why is it an issue? Do we ever stop and think what the consequences are of doing or not doing or do we just run over the cliff no matter?

I see a species that when we are children, we constantly ask what and why due to the curiosity of an unbridled mind. We yearn to know and understand. We accept things simply because they are. But as we get older the what and why changes and becomes tainted with control and fear to a large extent. Egos consume us and we are no longer free souls to wonder and amaze about the world around us, because we have put it all in a big box of our own design. Even I am guilty of this. I think “why” doesn’t a person understand? “What” are they doing? “Why are they thinking that way? “What” is wrong with them? And I have to catch myself and rethink my own thought process of my surroundings and happenings. My what and my why is not yours and yours is not mine. But I will say this, I do believe in a universal what and why if you will. And at some point, maybe if when we become enlightened beings, or maybe death releases us to see all things, understand all things, then maybe we will know truly what is what and why it’s all that way it is. But until that happens, I wish you all well on your journey of self-discovery and to keep asking the questions of What and Why?
